Zero Emissions
HyAPC produces no carbon emissions, no NOₓ emissions, and no particulates
Zero emissions. Flexible, reliable operations. A multi-fuel, scalable, future-ready power solution.
HyAPC is a breakthrough zero-emissions gas turbine technology that delivers clean, reliable, and flexible power. Unlike traditional turbines, it uses a patented oxygen-argon process to eliminate carbon and NOx emissions and enhance efficiency while offering lower costs. HyAPC is scalable from 1 to over 500 MW and can be deployed in new plants or as a retrofit. The technology has been independently validated and is now entering the demonstration phase.
HyAPC improves gas turbine operation by replacing ambient air with a controlled mixture of argon and oxygen, extracted by an air separation unit. This gas mixture feeds the Argon Cycle, where it replaces air in the combustion process to support more efficient and cleaner operation.
In the Argon Cycle, the turbine combusts fuel in the oxygen-argon environment, significantly improving combustion efficiency and enabling flexible, dispatchable power generation. The system is hydrogen-enabled and can operate on multiple fuels, maintaining high efficiency across a range of operating conditions.
When fueled by natural gas, HyAPC could capture carbon for long-term storage, achieving zero emissions. When operating on hydrogen, no carbon capture is required.
